Hello,

I'm Woomi, a Korean woman approaching 50, with a story of reinvention and entrepreneurship. After 15 years away from my previous career as a web designer—years dedicated to family and caregiving—I discovered a new path selling Korean-made hair clips to customers in the United States.

The pandemic became my turning point. Facing financial uncertainty and with my teenager now more independent, I enrolled in a job retraining program. There, I learned about e-commerce and connected with an unexpected opportunity: my friend's husband owned a hair clip factory using local Korean materials.

My journey wasn't straightforward. I started with:

  • No e-commerce experience

  • No international trade knowledge

  • No English fluency

  • Minimal startup capital

  • Limited Photoshop skills

  • Zero connections in the U.S. market

Despite these challenges, I was determined. YouTube tutorials, online communities, and relentless learning became my classroom. Each obstacle became a lesson, and gradually, I transformed those limitations into strengths.

Today, I travel between China and the U.S., actively engaging with Amazon sellers and managing my own business. As a solo entrepreneur, I handle everything—from store management and product photography to tax planning and video editing.

AURORA PIN: This name holds a small yet heartfelt wish of mine.
For a long time, I have cherished a dream of one day seeing the aurora with my own eyes. I wanted to capture this dream in my brand, so I combined "PIN," the last part of the word "Hair Pin," with "AURORA" to create the name AURORA PIN.

Beyond Business: A Community of Resilient Women

Through interactions with my customers, mostly middle-aged women, I've discovered something profound. We share similar experiences: balancing family responsibilities, maintaining our identities, and continuously reinventing ourselves.

AURORA PIN is more than a business. It's a platform for shared stories of growth, self-improvement, and mutual support.
